So you may have heard the Chandni Chowk to China starring Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone has been banned in Nepal. But why? The reason being is that the film claims that the birth of Buddha took place in India. This offends the people of Nepal because they say that Buddha was born in Nepal and not India. However, the truth is that both are not wrong in their claim! How you may ask? Well, technically, during the time of the birth of Buddha present-day Nepal was actually a part of India the same way that Bangladesh, Pakistan, and some others were all originally India. So if the movie claims that Buddha was born in India then in fact they are correct because Buddha was born in what was then India. However, the Nepalese have created a huge scene about this trivial matter which is obviously trivial if you thoroughly look at it and look back into history! In fact, they are actually suing…seems like other have caught onto to this popular American trend and perhaps they don’t really care about the actual birthplace of Buddha but rather are concerned with making money just like everyone else!
