Banarasi saris are considered the finest saris of India. They are known for their gold and silver brocade, fine silk, and intricate embroidery. Finely woven silk is decorated with intricate designs. These engravings make the saris heavy. One of their special characteristics are their Mughal inspired designs. It takes anywhere from 15 days to 6 months to complete just one sari.
