I am curious to know whether it makes a difference to you what day of the week Eid is on (or any other holiday for that matter but since Eid is around the corner I am more curious about it). Does it make a difference in how you celebrate Eid whether it is on a weekday or weekend? How does it make a difference, if so?
Are you more likely to celebrate Eid if it falls on the weekend? Or, do you still celebrate the same no matter what day it is? Do you always take off from school or work? If not, please share why. The information gathered may be used to create an upcoming article.
Please share: how do you celebrate Eid?

Whenever someone asks me this question I am thinking of the color of my outfit. However, many people answer “clothes.” Very funny…but now all jokes aside what type of outfit will you wear and do you think there is any popular color for this Eid or season? Do you prefer saris or salwar kameez? Some believe Eid outfits should be simple and for those believers out there I just have one question…why? What’s wrong with dressing up on our religious holiday?

Popular colors for this Eid are green and red. I know what you’re thinking “Christmasy” but just think about it. These are important colors in Islam too, green especially and red goes well with it.

Try to incorporate one of these colors into your outfit this year or opt for a combination of both!

Popular Canadian sitcom, Little Mosque on the Prairie, will now be shown in the U.S.! On June 10, 2008 FOX announced that it plans to adapt Little Mosque on the Prairie into an American setting. The show’s production company, Westwind, will partner with Fox Television Studios on this version. The deal won’t affect the Canadian version if it were to be picked up in the United States by another distributor or network. It is still unknown as to when the American version will be airing. However, Season 3 of the Canadian version is all set to take off on October 1st…Right in time for Eid ul Fitr!
