I have always wondered what’s the point of doing something if you don’t do it right. I mean it’s not what you do it’s whether or not you are good at it. Whatever you may choose you have to be successful in that direction. I think the same goes for clothes. If something doesn’t look good on you and it doesn’t suit you then you shouldn’t wear it. For example, it’s popular to pair tunics with tights. However, not everyone can pull this look off. If you’re not exactly skinny the tights can show your legs and make you look bigger than you are or actually reveal your size. Not everything suits everyone. People should learn that it is first imperative whether something looks good on you or not. Whether or not it’s in style comes second.

Trends come and go and right now we are going through times when there is quite a broad range of styles to choose from so this makes it especially crucial that one chooses something that particularly suits them and looks good on them. No one wants to look fat or stupid right?

If fashion means to be someone else then I don’t want to be fashionable. People sometimes ask me why I always do something different from everyone else. Why do I not dress just like everyone else? First of all, I like to be a trend setter not a follower! Now at the same time, these people compliment me on my style as well. Well, which one is it gonna be? Seems some folks just can’t make up their minds. I really don’t care what anyone thinks or says. I believe that although it is important to keep current trends in mind, it is also imperative that those trends don’t go against who you are. Just because something is in style doesn’t mean that you have to follow that very particular trend. Trends come and go and there will always be something in style that you will like but just because everyone else is doing it doesn’t make you obligated to do so. Why should you force yourself to be a hypocrite if it doesn’t even make you happy? Why should you be someone you are not? For fashion’s sake??

…For desis that is! Why? Two new movies were released this past Friday: Heroes and Roadside Romeo and they’re not stupid movies either! Heroes is a journey that calls for patriotism and emotions…sounds interesing and Roadside Romeo was made by the one and only Yash Raj Films and Walt Disney in a partnership that has created an animated film with the voices of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Anyway, neither of these movies are playing in the entire New England area! We are talking six states: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and the dumbest of all Rhode Island. Why would anyone in their right mind want to live here? Look forward to next weekend though if you live in Massachusetts because Fashion and Golmaal Returns will both be playing in some theatre. Do you hate New England? Tell us why! If you love it, we really don’t want to know!
