Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

How many of you watch that new show on Zee TV called Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli?

I’ve become a huge fan since the show started and I follow along closely.

As always, since Indian entertainment is famous for this, the clothes and jewelery are mesmerizing!

I’ve noticed that not only are the clothes beautiful but easy to find! I’ve been able to find very close matches for few of the saris! Now that is incredible!

The beautiful Swarna Bhawan is not only lavish and historical but a palace that can only be dreamed of by most people. For Abha, it is her home, for her father it is 100 years of memories and for all others it is a symbolic icon.

Getting back to the lavish saris…let me tell you which ones they are and where you can find them…possibly!

The first sari I noticed Lata Didi wearing was a blue multihued sari I knew I had seen before. I havent been able to find a picture of the actress wearing that particular sari but I do have a picture of the sari itself and where you can find it! This exact sari was worn in an episode and I’ve seen it being sold on CBazaar.com as well as UtsavSarees.com.

Here’s a pic of the actress wearing the second sari:

Here is a close up:

I found the above sari on the same websites as the other sari. If I find any more clothes worn on Indian television I’ll go ahead and share!

Waaris Has Ended and Teen Bahuraaniyaan Follows

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

Not so popular Zee TV serial Waaris has just ended in the States. I watched the final episode as it aired last night and I must say that like most other last episodes on Zee this one was also dissapointing. So we see that Ganga shoots Rudra Pratap and the next thing you know Yashoda is standing in front of his garlanded picture in her white sari when Shankar comes to say he and the others are leaving. I just don’t understand why the endings have to be so abrupt? They love to spend a lot of time, or should I say waste a lot of time on stretching out scences, especially with special effects but the endings are rather sudden.

Remember Meri Doli Tere Angana? It was ok until Simran and Rohan get shot and the next thing we know that story takes a complete turn. We never see Simran, Sandhiya Chachi, or any of the others again. Not even at the end. The story ends with Rohan’s father informing everyone that Simran was in fact dead and Rohan does regain his memory. Personally, the show was ok until they changed the entire story. It became so dull and boring.

Looking through my TV Guide I’m also very happy that Teen Bahuraaniyaan is ending! They have just stretched this serial for way too long. It should have ended long ago. I don’t even understand the point of the story anymore. So just a couple more weeks and it will be gone as well. Teen Bahuraaniyaan will end along with January.

Zee TV Strike Ends!

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

Good news! Zee TV has finally announced that they will be returning to their regular programming this Sunday, December 7th. The strike has finally ended and the shows are just getting spicier! Can’t wait until Sunday? Not to worry, here’s a preview as to what’s in store when the original programming returns…

First of all, Saath Saath has already ended in India and will soon be ending in the US as well. Finally! This show is just messed up. The NRI Lisa can’t speak Hindi properly but neither can she speak English! It makes no sense at all. Then, in Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan, Pavitra reveals the truth that she is responsible for the death of Niyati’s baby. In addition, there is another big secret that Pavitra is hiding from the family. Don’t forget to keep watching to find out. Urvashi returns in Saat Phere. We already know that Varun is evil but who is behind this? Urvashi returns to take revenge from Saloni and to snatch away Nahar from her! Banoo Mein Teri Dulhann takes a sad turn as well.

The bad news? We still don’t know what to anticipate for Rakhi and Teen Bahuraaniyaan. Any guesses! Of course Maayka, Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai, Waaris, and Hamari Betiyon Ka Vivaah continue to give us new episodes.

Zee TV Strike!

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

Many of you may have noticed that last week quite shockingly ZeeTv started showing several reruns. Apparently they don’t have any new episodes of most of the shows because of a strike in Western India by Cine Workers. They keep saying you can log on to their website for additional information but of course they’re lying. I did not see any such think on their website. This strike has continued this week and if you take a look at next week’s schedule you will notice the same.

So my question is: what is this strike all about? Zee is awfully dumb for just showing reruns. Instead, why don’t they show some good movies? But alas, of course not! Why would they do that when they reserve all the good movies only for Zee Cinema. Does anyone know what’s really going on?

While we’re on the topic of Zee…who hates Saath Saath? I absolutely dispise that show but I watch it anyway. It has already ended in India but still goes on in the US since we’re obviously far behind but it will surely be ending soon. Lajwanti is such an idiot! Then there’s Lisa. She’s supposed to be a foreigner or an NRI. What the hell is she anyway? Either way, shouldn’t she be able to speak English properly? Just because she’s an NRI doesn’t mean that she can’t speak Hindi either. Someone really needs to fix the way she talks as well as the way Lajwanti dresses. Talk about ugly clothes! By the way, today’s episode was not much of an episode; it was full of songs, more singing, and then a detailed synopsis of the family’s visit to the temple accompanied by more songs and music ofcourse!
