Not sure what kind of food to serve at your wedding? Not to worry, because we have compiled some sample wedding menus to give you some ideas and help you decide what dishes you will be serving. Of course, there are a few factors to keep in mind that will help you narrow down your choices. First of all, are you vegetarian or non-vegetarian? This will be one of the key points to guide you through the process. If you are non-vegetarian will you be serving a Halal meal? If so, you will need to find a caterer that can cater to your special needs. Your culture and background will also determine what dishes will be present. If you are Gujarati, for example, you may want to serve some dhoklas. Bengalis commonly have fish and sweets such as rasgollas and sandesh at their wedding. Last but not least, your personal taste is the most important. If you won’t eat it then don’t serve it! Your menu should reflect the both of you so try to incorporate some of your favorite dishes and dishes that will appeal to most of your guests. Make sure you do a combination of a variety of different foods. Be sure to have a rice dish, chicken (if you’re non-veg) because it is widely enjoyed, naan/roti/paratha, dal, some vegetables as a side dish, and last but not least don’t forget to have at least a couple of sweets for your guests to complete their meal!
